The Four Lads is a Canadian male singing quartet. In the s, s, and s, the group earned many gold singles and albums. The current incarnation of the group features the original member Frank Busseri bassplus Don Farrar lead tenorAaron Bruce second tenorand Alan Sokoloff baritone. The original quartet grew up together in TorontoOntarioCanada, and were members of St.
Michael's Choir Schoolwhere they learned to sing. Codarini and Toorish had formed a group with two other St. The group was Broc Peters* & The Four Lads - I Love You / 900 Miles (From My Home) variously as The Otnorots taken from the name "Toronto" spelled backwards and The Jordonaires not to be confused with a similarly named group, The Jordanairesthat was known for singing background vocals on Elvis Presley 's hits.
When Maugeri and Perkins left the group to concentrate on their schoolwork, Codarini and Toorish joined with Arnold and Busseri in a new quartet. At home, they practiced until they achieved their clean-cut harmonies, whether for spiritualssacred music, or Dyin Aint Much Of A Livin - Jon Bon Jovi - Blaze Of Glory. They originally called themselves The Four Dukes but found out that a Detroit group already used that name, so changed it to The Four Lads.
Broc Peters* & The Four Lads - I Love You / 900 Miles (From My Home) they began to sing in local clubs and soon were noticed by scouts.
Recruited to go to New Yorkthey were noticed by Mitch Millerwho asked them to do backup for some of the artists he recorded. They are both in the original recording along with the Four Lads. Inthey made their own first gold record " Istanbul Not Constantinople ",  which launched them to stardom and kept them busy throughout the s and s in the U.
Their most famous hit was " Moments to Remember " in Que Te Vaya Bien - La Gran Banda Caleña - La Gran Banda Caleña,  and their next best known was " Standing on the Corner ", from the Broadway musical production of The Most Happy Fellain Their songs have appeared on numerous compilation albums and re-issues in the s and s.
Codarini was replaced in by Johnny D'Arc who remained with the Lads untiland Sid Edwards replaced Toorish in the early s. D'Arc died inaged Arnold died of lung cancer in Sacramento, Californiaat the age of Codarini died on April 28,in Concord, North Carolinaat the age of Codarini also owned a restaurant since the early s in Medina, Ohiocalled Penny's Poorhouse, named after his wife.
