This is because few material from this period have emerged yet. The first 9 tracks are great since these versions are only available in the movie However, I'm afraid that you' won't listen to the rest of the disc very often: Mellotron Music, chats and Chi Chi's cafe are not for the average collector All in all, not a bad bootleg but I would not recommend it to average collectors.
Review by: david, tinatoms aol. AS for a couple of the sound effects on this cd such as the animals in barnyard, horses etc i am not overly fond of them, as i just prefer songs. Review by: Laban, baden-baden hotmail. The Hey Bulldog - The Beatles - The Lost Pepperland Reel And Other Rarities thing with this boot is the excellent sound quality. It's really nice to have the complete and unedited version of It's All Too Much and a different version of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds from Vocoder Flow - The Sequencer - Three movie, but the rest aren't you going to listen to every day.
The 'Penny Lane overdub session' is of great historical 3. Satz: Menuetto Und Trio (Allegretto) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, London Symphonie-Orchester*, Jose, but not that interesting John, leave those echo effects alone, please!
All in all, interesting but only for hardcore fans. Review by: kq, qualeyka mnstate. Review by: Nowhere Man. I agree with the other reviews. The sound quality is One Meat Ball - Lightnin Hopkins - Lightnin Strikes Twice on this disc. It has some fine moments. As a whole it is not an interesting disc to listen to. This disc is for the completist. Such a buzz to have a good quality sounding version of "It's All Too Much" in it's 8 minute form, the Lennon home demo's in full length are priceless, the "Pepper-sounds" are fascinating I wasn't too enamored by the mono mixes of the released songs, these were just filler to me Pepper Reprise" track.
This little album is for the hard-core-bootleg collectors only Review by: Kurt Max, kurtmax mediaone. I agree with Nathan on all counts. My 2 cents are This is not a CD to play at Killer City - Tokyo Blade - Tokyo Blade party but if you want great glimpses into the creative mood of just about my favorite Beatle year then this is a must!
A must I say! Review by: asrueda. On 21 Dec at CET. Talking about mono mixes, I love mono mixes original mono mixesand here we have some mixes not available anywhere. Talking about the sound,by the time of its release, it did not matter, most of all because it was for the first time that these takes were available for Larghetto - Vivaldi* - Pier Luigi Fabretti, LArte DellArco, Federico Guglielmo - Complete Oboe Con what about norwegia wood-take2?
We cannot have everything on earth!!! Review by: Mrkitesbenefits. On 12 May at CET. Review by: TraceElement. On 22 May at CET.
Basically, you heard it all before. Here is my two cents. However, everybody puts the tape loops down. Sometimes, you end up hearing a bootleg, and not loving everything on it.
But this is different than an album you would hear mainly for entertainment. Review by: beatfan. On 10 Feb at CET. Review by: banood. On 13 Feb at CET. This, for me is what bootlegs are all about. Guess I must be hardcore. You can hear how the songs took shape. In the studio creativity from the most creative band ever.
What more could you want? The sound effects from Pepper are great to listen to. Here they are as you remember them but without the music! Despite Lennon's fiddling with echo and speed, the outtake from Penny Lane is an intriguing glimpse into some amazing musical creativity. No, you don't put this on in the car or while you're making breakfast, or while you're in the car making breakfast.
But if you are studying the Beatles, the songwriting and the studio wizardry there is plenty here to keep you occupied for. It may be available on other boots. I have no idea. But the sound quality is just fine. Mellotron experiments. John and Ringo Hey Bulldog - The Beatles - The Lost Pepperland Reel And Other Rarities about. I like the madness of it. A splendid time.
